Following this line and starting from Piazza Venezia, you can visit the Altare della Patria and Palazzo Venezia, before heading towards the Tiber and crossing the Garibaldi Bridge to enter the Trastevere neighborhood. After exploring Trastevere, you could continue to the Janiculum, a hill located southwest of the neighborhood. Regarding safety, the route of Line #8 is for 95% on streets in central Rome that are open to car traffic. Extreme caution is recommended while riding in the city's urban traffic and especially on the climb leading to the Janiculum Hill.
