In terms of safety, Line #AW2 alternates between stretches ridden on safe roads (Appia Antica) and roads open to car traffic. We recommend a minimum of cycling experience as there are several stretches with large ancient cobblestones, which could throw off balance.

Caution is recommended while riding in the city's urban traffic and especially inside the lake tunnel.

It is possible to return to the starting point by taking the train from Castel Gandolfo Station to Roma Capannelle and continue the last stretch by bicycle.

Always wear a helmet.
