Regarding safety, the route of Line #A1 includes sections on a bicycle path and sections on roads open to car traffic. As soon as you leave the Regina Ciclarum, continue in the direction of the airport following the bike path, both on "via portuense" and on "mobility corridor C5" always remaining safe until the section that you will need to make a U-turn to take the Fiumicino airport exit. From this point on you will need to be very careful as you will be cycling on roads open to car traffic.
WARNING: at the "U" turn section, the map will not let you exit the bikeway; you will need to go about 30m past the turn to get access outside the bikeway and cross to the side of the roadway divider and finally be able to get back on course.
It is strongly recommended that you always wear a protective helmet while riding and that you secure your bicycle with a chain and lock at every stopping point along the route.
